Happy Halloween Y'all!!

I did this mani on Monday and forgot to share.
Since I didnt have a chance to do another one for Halloween day I figured I show you this one.  The orange is from Pure Ice.  Its a nice bright orange pearl (missing the sticker so I dont know what color is it....sorry) that applied very nicely with 2 coats.  If I haven't said it yet.....Pure Ice really surprises me.  Every one I have tried has been awesome!  They apply nicely (my black is a one coater!!) and they wear well too.  I have no problem with a $2 nail polish that is awesome.
I stamped using a mix of Bundle Monster and Cheeky plates with Konad black polish.  The full nail skull pattern is from the Cheeky 2012 summer set...its actually the main reason I bought that set.  My only complaint is that everything but the skulls is the stamp/paint part.  So until I started using the 'special' polish it was almost impossible to use....very smeary/blobby. The big skull and pumpkin is from the Bundle Monster 2011 plates 224-225.
Have a spooktackular night!!

First Look at OPI Spring 2013 Euro Centrale Collection

OPI Announces the Launch of Euro Centrale for Spring/Summer 2013
Classic meets contemporary with Euro Centrale by OPI for Spring/Summer 2013. Celebrating a region where history meets modern design, the collection’s twelve new nail lacquers offer a mixture of glamorous metallic hues; playful bright shades in periwinkle, aqua and pink; and creamy blues in indigo, midnight and aubergine.

“Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania make up an exciting new fashion hotspot,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “When visiting these countries, you’ll view Gothic churches alongside vibrant graffiti murals, blending two very different aesthetics. This fusion of old and new was also seen in runway looks during New York Fashion Week, where classic styles were reinvented with modern silhouettes and patterns.

“Euro Centrale boasts a wide variety of shades, ranging from pale nude to deep blue – and featuring everything from shimmering copper to aqua in between!,” continues Weiss-Fischmann. “Whether you’re looking to spice up a black and white print, or add neutrality to a vivid brocade, these lacquers are designed to accessorize spring’s hottest looks.”

Euro Centrale by OPI includes the following shades:
  • Polka.com - Blue and violet are dancing partners in this glittery combo.
  • OPI…Eurso Euro -  This deep blue cream is very continental.
  • Suzi’s Hungary AGAIN! - Thank goodness there are zero calories in this warm and yummy pink!
  • You’re Such a BudaPest - If I let you borrow this periwinkle-purple, will you go away?
  • Can’t Find My Czechbook - I hope you take credit, because I must have this aqua!
  • My Paprika is Hotter than Yours! - Get the extinguisher...this fiery red is sizzling!
  • Hands Off My Kielbasa! - Get your own...this bronzy tan is all mine!
  • OY–Another Polish Joke! - So this shimmery-gold walks into a bar...
  • A Woman’s Prague-ative - I’m changing this shimmery copper for...never mind!
  • Vant to Bite My Neck? - You know you want to...wear this deep eggplant.

Special effects top coats - just for funzies

so after doing the swatches of L'Oreal "The Muse's Attitude" I decided
to slap on some special effect top coats just for fun.

left to right:  Pretty Me Polish SpectraFlair Topcoat, Pure Ice "Oh Baby!", Pure Ice "Mint Dream", and Sally Hansen "Disco Ball"

Disco Ball - is a clear base with scattered silver and holo glitter - I've had it a while
Mint Dream - is a pearl iridescent that is very sheer and just lightened things up a bit
Oh Baby! - is a sheer pearl base with blue and green glass flecks that add a subtle sparkle
SpectraFlair - this is a gorgeous clear holo top coat (looks silver...but not) looks good over any polish - bought on here on etsy

sorry for the not so great photos.  my camera was misplaced after a roadtrip last weekend.
more swatches coming up tomorrow.

L'Oreal's Fall 2012 Runway - A Temptress and a Muse

Today I wanted to show you 2 swatches from the L'Oreal Fall 2012 Runway Collection.
"The Temptress' Touch" and "The Muse's Attitude"

The Temptresses Touch (left) is a bright yellow green with a ton of micro gold glitter.  In the bottle (hard to capture on film) it has an almost duo-chrome affect to it, shifting from green to gold.  Once you get it on your nail though its more of just a bright gold shimmer.

Here it is in full sun.  The formula is very sheer - this is three coats with a coat of Seche Vite

Next up is The Muse's Attitude.  This is such a beautiful color.  Like is sister, it has a
duo-chrome look in the bottle, shifting from a dark emerald/teal to a dark peacock blue/navy.  It sort of translates to the nail...some light is very dark emerald and other lights its a pretty shimmery navy (look at the pic - emerald on the nail but the bottle is showing the dark blue).  The formula is very nice, glides on very smooth, semi-sheer.  I am wearing two-coats here with a coat of Seche Vite (probably could use another coat).

I love both of these colors (Temptress' Touch being slightly too yellow for my skin).  I think y'all will lik them too.  Price point for these babies are about $6usd.

Be back with more later.
